Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This page is maintained by the Aplomb team to answer common privacy questions about Aplomb ("we", "us", "the service"). It explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the controls you have. It is not legal advice.

Data we collect

Account data

When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and the company you belong to. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never stored in plain text.

Company data you upload

Training documents, program content, quizzes, scenarios, assignments, and progress records that you or your team create in Aplomb.

Usage data

Aggregated, non-identifying information about how the product is used (e.g. which pages are visited) so we can improve reliability and performance.

How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the service.
  • To authenticate you and enforce access controls.
  • To notify you about account activity and important updates.
  • To respond to support requests.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share limited data with the following categories of subprocessors, each contractually bound to protect it:

  • Cloud hosting provider (application and database hosting).
  • Email delivery provider (for account and transactional emails, when enabled).
  • Payments provider (when a paid subscription is initiated).

Data retention

Company and account data is retained for as long as your workspace is active. On request from an authorized account owner, we will delete workspace data within 30 days.

Security

Row-level security isolates each company's data. Backups are encrypted at rest and in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by writing to privacy@aplomb.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We will update this page when practices change and note the revision date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in-app.
